Everything went GREAT!!!

Sorry i have been missing in action for like a LONG butt time!! But the wedding went GREAT on saturday, we could have not asked for a more perfect day! The temperature was about 75 and not that humid. It got a little hot when we were taking pictures in the morning before the ceremony but it was ok. A lot of people made it to the ceremony, but the church stayed nice and cool, which is kind of wierd, cause it was SUPER hot and muggy on friday during our rehearsal. I screwed up saying my vows, I had to ask the pastor twice on what I was suppose to say. I guess I was a little nervous and I couldnt concentrate! But we just laughed it off, along with all of our guests. We went to the bar for about an hour and had a great time, we then headed back with tactors to the reception! It was great!

We stayed ahead of schedule all day! It was soo awesome, there was no rushing around to get everything done! We actually had extra time to sit and relax and enjoy the day. The dance went GREAT, it was sooo fun. I think I missed like 3 songs all night, and that is because I was sooooo hot I needed to take a break and cool off. The wedding party all had a great time, and were feeling good by the end of the night. We even got my sister-in-law who doesnt drink very often drunk!

David and I couldnt ask for a more perfect of a day! I am so happy everthing went well!

Productive Weekend

I got SOO much done this weekend, It feels good to have some of the DIY projects done. We are pushing 6 weeks to the wedding, and I am in a bit of a stress mode. I just cant believe its coming so fast!! I took pictures of all of the projects I did this weekend but I still cant find my camera cord. I will look for it again today to see if I can find it, and post pictures later.

My list of CHECKS done this weekend:
bough 27 cases of pop (24 pack)
put together the bridesmaids gifts
stamped thank you cards
wrote out thank you cards for my bridesmaids & usherettes
memory candle
memory list in frame
ribbon on program baskets
pink and black place cards cut
combined all of the confetti
finished the invites that need to be sent out today
received the "dance only" postcards
bought all the hardware for the photo card box
tried to do my unity candle (it was a mess)
put ribbon on votive candles (only on 24 out of 144)
bought material for the "thank you" poster for pictures
put together all of the flower girls & ring bear bags
put their name on the bags with puff paint
I think that was it, but it feels like I am missing some. I will probably think of some late.
WEIGHT LOSS UPDATE:
Today is weigh in day for weight watchers, and I am proud to announce that as of this morning I have lost 4.2 pounds! I thought it was pretty darn good considering I ate out Friday night, Saturday night, and Monday night! I am really happy with the results I am getting, and I hope to keep it coming! My 1st mini goal is to loose 10-15 pounds before the wedding, my second mini goal is to loose another 15 pounds by my birthday (9/23) and my big goals is to loose 45 pounds total by the beginning of the new year as long as we don't get pregnant before then. :) The game is on, and I am bound and determined to loose this weight that i gained over the past 2-3 years!

its back.......... the weekly menu!

Thats right people its back, I am going to try to do the weekly menu again! Now that I am on weight watchers I tend to want to eat at home more cause I can make good choices. I normally have a heck of a time making good choices when we go out. Here we go people... Hold on to your pants....

Saturday - We are going out because we are going bowling with some friends tonight

Sunday - Beef Tacos

Monday - at the in-laws for a cook out

Tuesday - chicken quesedella, FF sour cream, salsa, and lettuce

Wednesday - homemade candian bacon pizza

Thursday - Beef roast with potatoes, and carrots

Friday - Grilled chicken, roasted potatoes, and steamed asparagus

Busy Busy Busy!!!

I am not sure if I have mentioned that I have a HUGE callus on my right foot on the heal (which is a weird place to have it) that I have been dealing with for at least a half of a year. I didnt think much of it, but it is really starting to effect how I walk, I am walking with a limp. Well now that I work at a Chiropractor's Office I can get free adjustments. I had the Dr look at it and he said I was walking funny. So he recommended orthotics. Well on Thursday I went into the office (on my day off) to get fitted for them. It is going to cost be about $200 bucks, when originally it would cost me over $600, and that is at cost so the Dr is not making any money off of me! So I am excited to get them. I am going to fell SOOO much better! I should be getting them next week sometime.

99% of the invites are out (thats right, I still have bout 5 invites I still need to send out) bad, I know. But anyways I think we had about 345 people on the invite list (ya I dont know the exact number of that either) The RSVP's are due to me on June 1st, so approx. 1 week away. So far we have 70 people that are coming! So that means people need to get there RSVP's in!!! ok vent over.

On Thursday (after my orthotic fitting) I headed to Sam's Club to order our sheet cakes for the wedding. I ordered 4 full sized sheet cakes: marble flavored with white whipped frosting. I made them all the same because David and I are serving cake at the end of dinner (to make our rounds and say hi to everyone) Then people cant be picky. :) so that is a CHECK!

Also when I was at Sam's Club I picked up 3 (30 bottle) cases of water. We are planning on having some water bottles at church because there is no AC, and its gonna get HOT! I am throwing around the idea of making personalized labels. Is it easy to do?

I also headed to Hobby Lobby (the store I LOVE to make DIY wedding projects) and they had all wedding items 50% off, so I picked up another large candle ($3.00) for our Memory Candle that will burn, I picked up some "mr. & mrs." confetti ($.99) for our tables. I also picked up some sheer ribbon to but on the baskets for our programs at church. so that is a CHECK!

OH BY THE WAY: Weight Watchers has been going GREAT! and 5 days into the program I have lost 2.8 pounds, and I even went out to eat last night at Buffalo Wild Wings!! :) yay me!

This weight has finally hit me in the face

Looking back at the past 2 1/2 years it was probably the most stressful years of my life. It started with my dad getting sick in July 2006. He ended up having to have brain surgery to get the tumor out of his brain. He started Chemo and hit his all time low. He fought as hard as he could but the cancer ended up getting the best of him in March of 2007. This is the start of me gaining weight. I tend to be a stress/sad eater. I was so sad that the cancer got the best of my dad, and questions kept running through my head what are we going to do without my dad? I ate and ate and ate. I was accepted into the Dental Hygiene program in July of 2007, I was so excited - my dad was looking for me and was helping me reach my goals I have for my life. Little did I know that the program was REALLY intense and stressful. Then began to eat more and more and more. As the program went on the more stressful it got. In the past 2 1/2 years I have managed to gain about 40-50 pounds. Which I can say I am NOT proud of. With gaining weight this fast I have became very self conscious.

With school being over for little less then a week I am going to try to conquer getting this extra baggage off of me. I know this weight isn't going to come off over night and I am going to have to work hard. I would like to be healthy when we start trying to have a family and that is going to happen shortly after we get married.

I am going to go back on Weight Watchers and I am going to try to do this by myself. This is when I have the best luck, weird huh? I am going back on the point system for a week or 2 and I am going to try to work in the 30 day shred. In the past when I did weight watchers and worked out I ended up gaining weight, I know muscle weighs more then fat but it is frustrating to me and I get discouraged.

I plan on heading up to Rochester today and I am going to stock the house full of healthy food. I am going to count this as day 1!!!

Here are some pictures of me from the past 2 1/2 years

This picture was taken the weekend before my dad got really sick

This was almost a year after my dad got really sick. 4 months after he passed away

This was in Sep 2007. I had lost about 15 pounds that fall

Graduation May 2009

Graduation & picture overload...

Well I am excited to announce that I am now a Dental Hygiene Graduate from RCTC!! :) yay!

Here is our class minus one girl (she was really sick that day, poor thing)
Some of the girls thought it would be funny to get "billy bob" teeth. I have to say they were a hit. We put them in right before our director of the program came by us and she was laughing her butt off. She even got like 5 million people to come look at us, ok maybe not 5 million but a lot of people. She even got the president of the school to come look. He thought it was pretty cool, and she got the school photographer to come take a picture of us. We will see where those pictures show up. We also put them in while we walked out of the gym during the recessional. All the teachers thought it was pretty funny, mostly because they made the assumption we were the dental girls.
On Friday we had our class graduation party. Here are some of the girls I think we were missing 3 girls. Party Poopers!

And remember this post back in November when I was in the wedding? Well here are some pictures!

Here is the beautiful couple!

**oh and it was soooo FUNNY seeing them get up and down there. Kelli's dress was in the way**

Us girlies plus her personal attendant

Travis and I coming into the reception. Lets just say we were alllll feeling pretty good.

We had a good time at the bar before we showed up!

Happy Mother's Day and Good day at Church

I just want to say Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful Mother. She has always been such a role model for me growing up and I cherish her so much! Happy Mother's Day Mom, LOVE YOU!!

Today was a good day at church!!! Everyone was in a good mood, and our niece and nephew were there! Our pastor also gave a good sermon, which is pretty rare. The second reading really grabbed my eye, and I think it is one of my favorite passages.

1 John 7-21

Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves us born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love know God, for God is love. God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only son into the world so they we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God but that we loved us and sent his only son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is perfect in us. By this we know that we abide in him and he is us, because he has us of his spirit. And we have seen and do testify that Father has sent his Son as the Savior of the world. God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God. So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness on the day of judgement because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, for fear has to do with punishment and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love. We love because he first loved us. Those who say "I love God" and hate their brothers and sister, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or sister whom they seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen. The commandment we have from his is: those who love God much love their brothers and sisters also.

Good huh?

Time for a catch up...

Well I have some bad news, you know those pictures I have been saying I am going to put up.. well they are on my camera, but I cant find the cord for the computer!! Bummer, so i am going to keep looking for it.

And I have some good news... ready for it???........... Well I passed ALL of my board exams!! YAY!!! I am so happy I dont EVER have to take them again! So that leads to me saying I am graduating on Thursday, and then I will be able to apply for my Minnesota Dental Hygiene License and that then makes me a RDH!!! **registered Dental Hygienist**

And you know that Chiropractic job I was interviewing for, well I got that too!! So I am going to be working there all day (730-530) Mondays, and Wednesdays and then Friday from 630-11. I am currently just working when I am not in school those days.

My bridal shower is coming up fast. And I cant wait for it!! My mom already told me she is getting my a black kitchen aid, and I am SOOOO excited for it!! I cant wait to make mashed potatoes after I get it. I know for sure that is one gift I will NOT be waiting until the wedding to open! :)

Also I decided to start working out to slim down a little before the wedding, I started the 30 day shred, and WOW it kicked my booty!! I am so sore. I started to do it again tonight and I was to sore to do it. So tomorrow it is! I can already feel my arms getting my toned and my tummy getting more toned, along with my legs! they kill!

I sent out most of the invites on Friday, which I am excited to have that HUGE check done with!! I need to make some more because I didnt have enough!! Arrggg.. Our list keeps getting bigger and bigger. One of our guest pulled me aside this morning at church and told me how much she loved them! Which makes me excited I was starting to not like them so much, considering we spent so much time on them! I cant wait to see who is the first to RSVP.

Well people I think this is it for now. I am sure you didnt even wonder where the heck I was!!

Life & Honeymoons

Life has been SOOOOO crazy these days. I havent done much wedding stuff because I was getting ready for my CRDTS board, which is basically the practical exam. I had to bring a patient up to the cities and clean there teeth.

I got so lucky and my patient was qualified the 1st round, which is awesome cause then I had the full 2 1/2 hours to clean his teeth. Which I may say was way not enough time. The calculus was way hard to get off, a lot harder then I thought it was going to be. But hopefully it was good enought to pass!! I should know in about 3 weeks. And the best part is that I am DONE with boards now, you know as long as I passed them!

Also David and I were talking about our honeymoon and what we want to do. Well we have decided to take a short little mini honeymoon right after the wedding and then take a long 10-14 day honeymoon in the winter. Then we can enjoy getting away from the cold and go somewhere warm! :)

Thats all for now folks!

Houston, we are up and running...

As you all can see I finalized my blog "facelift". I think I am going to really like it!

While since the last real post we have finished out invites and envelopes. I have to say it was a major bitch to get them complete. We started last friday (4/10) at 11 am. We went to go print off all of the sheets for the information like the accommodations, RSVP, directions, and Reception. Well it didnt go so well. We ended up messing with that until about 5pm that same day. Once we finalized the sizes and then we printed them out. My older sister helped cut them all up. They turned out great. Then we tried to print off the picture for the invite and it was AWFUL!!! We were using my mom's work laser printer and the picture had a huge dark line in the middle of it. So we tried to take the disk to my mom's Fiance (Ron)'s work to print them off, still was a bitch to do it. We ended up calling it a night around midnight.

We got up again on Sat (4/11) and we started to try to print off the pictures again around 9am. We decided we will have to print them off on the normal printer we have at home. It was kind of a bitch but we got them all printed out, and my older sister cut them all up. ( that was around 4pm) we also had to print off the vellum paper off of the normal printer. Plus we had to hand feed each one. Mind you we did 135 invites!

At that time we were out of card stock paper so David and I went to walmart to pick some up. We also picked up stuff to make our wedding cake (thats coming next) When we got home we we printed off the rest of the information we needed. The I started to work on the envelopes. Again it was a bitch it wouldnt print out right on the laser. arggg. So we ended up printing all of them out on the regular printer also. I finished doing the envelopes at 2am. (everyone else was sleeping) Thank goodness we finished it last weekend, cause I would dread working on them again.

Also we went and ordered our cake Wednesday (4/8) and we just wanted a normal little 10 inch cake. I was thinking it would probably cost us about 20-4o dollars. WRONG, it was going to cost us 66 bucks! I almost shit my pants when the HyVee baker told me that. We didnt put any down payments on it since I thought that was a lot. I talked to my old sister (she is very crafty) and she said she could totally make our cake. So we did a trail cake run on Sunday. It turned out soooooooo good and it was way cheaper then 66 bucks. She is going to practice making the cake a little more and are going to try make it a 2-tier cake. :) So excited about this!

I think that is it, I have pictures of this whole ordeal, but they are on my mom's computer. I will post pics later!

MAJOR catch up...

So I have been such a bad blogger. I really need to update everyone on our wedding progress. It is amazing how much time I have on my hands on that my Nation Board Exam is done! :)

First I just have to say it is so nice to feel not so over whelmed, so I can enjoy my wonderful fiance. I also am enjoying that I am not taking my zolof (for anxiety) and I have been off of it since my National Boards, and I feel very little anxiety. Which is GREAT!

Last weekend I went up to my mom's house to do a Wedding Planning Weekend. It was very successful! We were able to find all of the black dress shirts that we needed for the groomsmen on sale! So we bought them for $17.99! score!

Then we went to Anchor Paper to buy all the paper for our invites which may I tell you we found an awesome deal again, we got all of the paper (white cover card stock) and then Velium Paper and envelopes (pink) for $65.00, and that is to make 145 invites. I thought we did pretty good.

We also met with my cousin, who works at a flower shop and is helping me with our bouquets. And again that was a success! We actually ended going into the floral shop and I found a bouquet of Gerbers and I was like wow these are really pretty I picked them up and realized they were fake. So we decided it would be the best if we did fake Gerbs since it will probably be hot as hell on our big day. So Amber, my cousin, is looking more information about the fake flowers. We are also going to try to do fake mini gerbs for the boys, if we can find ones that look real. Also we are doing fake tulips and the other memory vase of flowers.

Now on to the bad news... I tried my dress on and needless to say it was a little tight. I have 2 inches to work with on the panel so it isnt to bad, but I am trying to loose a little weight and tone up my upper body. So I am in the progress of that.

Then yesterday we went and registered for our wedding, and let my tell you it was exhausting! It took us 9 hours to do 3 stores. Wow, we were sooo tierd!

We also found fushia pink rain boots for me for our wedding, you know in case it rains.. haha

We bought all of the belts needed for the groomsmen, and black socks.

I have ordered the black dress pants for the groomsmen and they should be arriving today sometime. They better be black this time! @@

and tonight I am heading up to my moms again, and we printing off invites and starting to put them together! yay! we are aiming to get them out by May 11th.

I survived!!

I am allllll done with my National Boards, and it feels sooooooooooooooo good. I got way more nervous about it then I had to I think. It wasnt as hard as I thought it was going to be. I am hoping that it was good enough to pass!

I spent yesterday evening and this late afternoon doing a whole lot of NOTHING, and I have to say it feels good.

I had my interview with the chiropractor office this afternoon. I think it went well. The Dr. seemed fine with working around my school schedule, so that is good. They are basically adding a person because they are getting so busy. Which is great! He also seemed to understand how dental hygiene jobs work, that it is hard to find a full time job. The job is mainly front desk, and billing. The hourly range is just up my alley so that is good. He said he will let me know next week to see if I have a second interview. Actually he said "We will get a hold of you next week to set up a second interview" So I thought that was good.

Well all is well, I am hoping to get to church tonight. It has been a while since I have gone so I am excited.

Random thoughts

I went to fastcare up in Rochester Thursday, and the PN said my sinuses are still very swollen, and it has made a home in there. She also check my right ear, which I have an ear infection in. She gave me amoxicillin (i think, haha) and then said to start taking muceix to start breaking up the mucus in my sinuses. I am feeling a little better today, after 2 days after the new antiboitics, and muceix. I am starting to drain again, which is good! :)
--------------------------------------------------
Also, I got a call back from the chiropractor office I sent my resume to, I have an interview on Wednesday at 1:30. Wish me luck!

-------------------------------------------------
As most of you can tell, wedding planning has been put on hold for right now. I just dont have the time to stress about it. I need to get through my national boards and then it is back to planning, and let me tell you I have LOTS to do!!!

I guess I went and picked up some of the bridesmaid dresses (the ones that live up by mom). I think they are super cute. The only thing is that they screwed up on the usherettes dresses, they ordered them pink with black, and they are suppose to be black with pink. So she reordered them and they should be here at the end of May. talk about short timing to get alterations! Oh well, we will make it work.

Please note this dress is not in the right size for me, I just wanted to see it on, so I just fitted into my sisters dress.

3 days left

Thats right only 3 days until I have to take my national board exam. I am soooo nervous, and I have been studying my butt off. But I guess if I didnt procrastinate so much, I wouldnt be so nervous. Thanks dad, for such a great trait! haha. I am really trying to take a deep breath and take it one day at a time. It is an 8 hour written test. It consists of the last 2-3 years of information about Dental Hygiene and some general class information. The morning is component A, and that consists of 200 multiple choice questions, and then the afternoon is component B and that consists of 150 questions about case studies. So basically made up patients, it is all mutliple choice, so you would think it wouldnt be that hard. It cost $225 to take the test, so in the long run of my education it wouldnt be the worst if I failed, I will just have to pay that amount again and take the test again. It seems like a lot of money but when you look at how much I have paid for all of my exams it is pretty cheap.

I have to take a "law" exam on what I can do and not do in the state of Minnesota for Dental Hygiene, that was $80, and then I have to take a patient up to the cities to clean their teeth. They need to have so much calculus on so many teeth and so many surfaces and it has to be the right kind of calculus, this test cost me $860, and then I will have to pay an extra $200 to rent an operatory. And then most people pay the patient to take a day off of work and come up and sit for me. So that is a test I DONT want to fail, cause I would have to pay that amount all over again... arggg - this is making my stomach turn knots just talking about it.

Have I...

mentioned I have the best Fiance?? Cause I do, and I want the whole world to know that!

...He helped my get my new car, and he is helping me out with the payments until I get a job and can make my own payments.

...He also put my car under his name for insurance so I dont have to pay extra.

...When Stella was up barking like a dumb @$$ last night, I got up to yell at her. She didnt listen so my sweet man got up and put her in the kennel in the kitchen.

...She was barking so much she woke me up so much I couldnt fall back to sleep at 2:30am, my sweet man vountary told me he would rub my back.

...He put me right to sleep!

..He is humoring me and driving up to Rochester tonight with me so I can go to fastcare because I still think I have a stupid sinus infection..

I AM SORRY LADIES BUT THIS SWEET MAN IS MINE!!!

GUESS WHAT!!!

We ended up finding a different car with less miles and for a low price so we headed over there yesterday.... and we now have a new(er) car in the garage!!! It is an '08 pontiac G6 SE sports package #1. I really LOVE it!

I forgot...

to say.................HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

I am not Irish, not even a little drop, but I still am sporting the green shirt today. Thank godness for John Deere wear or I wouldnt have any green. Its really not my color, I have to olive-y skin.

Also, I forgot to mention that I sent my resume into a chiropractic office about 10 minutes away from our house. They are looking for a Part Time Chiropractic assistant. I was one for about 3 1/2 years, so I am hoping that helps me get the job! I will keep the blog updated if I hear from them!

Irritated

I am sooooooo irritated right now! We took my car in to the shop on Friday morning, and I yet have gotten it back! I am not sure if I am just antsy to get it back so we can take it to the car dealer or what. But does this seem extra long to anyone else? arggg

I am also irritated about having to study for much about this stupid National Board Exam. I have to take it a week from today!! Here I am on my spring break with is being SOOO nice out. The weather is like 65 today, and I am stuck inside studying. arggg

I am irritated that I went to the doctor like 2 weeks ago, cause I had a sinus infection. He gave me z-pack antibiotic, which i dont care for myself, and I dont think it worked. I still have tons of pressure around my sinus area. I need to get some real antibiotics that are going to work! arggg

I am irritated that the website in the above post didnt work! arggg Not sure what that is about, but here is a picture of the beauty!

I am an irritated women today, can you tell some female hormones are running high this week, along with the stress from that stupid exam?

Monday, March 16, 2009

Seriously?

3 post in one day, yup that is right people!!!

Look at this beauty!!!

David called on it today and they can give is like 2.9% so we are going to bring my car up there when we get it back from the shop. We want to see what they can give us for it, and then I can test drive it. We are probably going tomorrow! I am a little excited!

Weekly Menu

So I have finally thought about it, and I know what we are tentatively going to plan for dinner for the week...

MONDAY: Cheeseburgers, baked "roasted" potatoes, and green beans

TUESDAY: chicken quesadella, sour cream, salsa, and a green salad

WEDNESDAY: Soup and Sandwich at church before service.

THURSDAY: Chicken Pot Pie **new recipe for the week**

FRIDAY: French bread pizza with a green salad

SATURDAY: we have a wedding to go to

SUNDAY: Chili, sour cream, cheese and Frito chips

CH-CH-CHECK IT OUT

So I decided to make a recipe blog. I thought it would be away that I could share our recipes and also I can just go look when I am trying to find a dinner idea.

I promise I will post later our weekly menu.. I really need to start thinking! haha

UPDATE: I still dont know what we are having for dinner the rest of the week! haha

What a wonderful Day

Well spring I think is finally making an appearance. It was about 55 degrees out today. The heat was turned off, and the windows were open. It smells so good in here with the fresh air!

We went out with some friends of ours to a toy tractor show in Cannon Falls. It was ok, kind of boring if you ask me but what do I know right? It was ok, since the other guys wife came and we get along really well. We then went out to eat at Applebees, and my lunch was good. We then went across the street to look at cars, cause I am keeping my eyes open for a new one for myself. Well they had EXACTLY what I wanted - a white 4 door G6, sunroof, spoiler, dark interiors, and nice wheels. It was an '08, and had 30,000 miles on it, they wants $14,999 for it. David is going to call tomorrow and talk to him about what kind of financing we can get on it since I dont have a job yet. The we headed over the to home and vacation show. It was ok, got to see the HUGE RV's. That was nice dreaming. haha

We even got out fridge cleaned out today, which is so exciting cause it needed it REALLY bad!

Also I have made the decision I am going to start making a meal plan of the week and keeping track how much it costs. I also want to try a new reciepe every week. So if you have any good ones, hand them over! I will post my weekly plan tomorrow.

Yesterday we had the most AMAZING dinner, I got the reciepe from Kelly's reciepe blog! I strongly suggest you to try it!!! Check it out!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

So I am proud to say that David and I have been dating for 3 years and we have been engaged for a year - today!!!! I can honestly say that it has been the best 3 years of my life! And please remember that within those 3 years is when my dad passed away. David has been there for me through thick and thin!! We have been through so much within the past 3 years I know we can get through anything. We have the strength to take it one day at a time and try to work out the kinks. I just love him with all my heart and I cant wait to see what our future has to hold for us!

Here are some pictures of us through the years!

Not so Graceful...

So I have came up with in my next life I hope not to be so clumsy. There always cuts on my hands, and bruises all over my body.

Yesterday, I was picking up the house and I bent down to straighten the shoes and I ended up hitting my head on the corner of the window seal, which I tell you that I had to move my head around the table, and then move it back to hit the window seal. SERIOUSLY!!?!!?

Then, I was washing dishes last night and I dropped the big bottle of dish soap in the water and bubbles and water went EVERYWHERE!!! So I was dripping wet.

Then today, I was boiling some water to make some pasta for dinner (crock pot prep) and I went into the other room to check my email, and after about 5 minutes I am smelling some smoke. I was cooking a pizza, but it didnt smell like burnt food in the oven. So I went into the kitchen to find the kitchen towel on fire, which was next to the stove, with the boiling water! So I quickly threw it in the sink and put water on it! DUMB BUTT ME!!!

Then, I went to take the burnt dish towel out of the sink, and I bumped a glass over on the counter and it spilled water (just a little I thought).

Then, I go to open the can of olives for dinner (also crock pot prep) and the can opener slipped and so I went to put it back on the can, and the juice went over and got myself all full of olive juice.

Then, I went to take a picture of my burnt towel and I ended up spilling the same glass as before of water, and then I proceeded to step in the water, so now I have a wet sock!!
Now mind you, this is 2:55pm Central time so far on this crappy Monday. And this is only a glimpse of one day, can you imagine the rest of the week!
please lord in my next life make my more graceful!

Monster Truck Ralley

So Saturday night we went into LaCrosse to hit up the monster truck ralley. It was super fun, and it was a bitter sweet time, cause I use to go with my dad all the time. It was actually a really good show, and we had AWESOME seats.

My car has been given us some problems, so I begged David to take his truck cause I didnt want to get stranded in LaCrosse, cause sometime my car doesnt start. He agreed and we ended up taking his truck. We went into LaCrosse a little earlier so we could get something to eat, and then we headed to the show. So we were probably out of the truck for like 4-5 hours. We we get back out to the truck to go home and David turns over the keys and the truck is deader then a door knob. He left his lights on! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!!! thank goodness a guy that parked just in front of us, came out of the show just after we did. So he was nice enough to jump us. I just think that is funny cause we took his truck so we didnt have to jump my car!! haha! Oh well, it was a good memory that we will never for get about!

A day late and a minute short

Yesterday was the 2 year anniversary of my dads death. It was surprisingly an "ok" day. I was a little sad when I woke up, which was at 4am!!! what the heck? but anyways as the day went on the easier it got! I am happy to have that past us as now I can get excited about the upcoming anniversary of david and I - 3 years dating, and 1 year engaged!! Man time flys!

Here is the reading that was read at his funeral. Still touches me....
"If i die with much anger and bitterness, I will leave my family and friends behind in confusion, guilt, shame or weakness.
When I felt my death approaching, I suddenly realized how much i could influence the hearts of those whom I would leave behind.
If i could truly say that I was grateful for what I lived, eager to forgive and be forgiven, full of hope that those who loved me would continue their lives in joy and peace, and confident that Jesus who calls me would guide all who somehow belonged to my life- if I could do that- i would, in the hour of my death, reveal more true spiritual freedom than I had been able to reveal during all the years of my life.
I realize on the very deep level that dying is the most important act of living. It involves a choice of bind others with guilt or set them free with gratitude."
Dad, I love you more then anything, and I miss you more then anything! I cant wait until the day comes when I can see you again in Heaven!! RIP DAD May 3rd, 1959-March 7,2007
