Life & Honeymoons

Life has been SOOOOO crazy these days. I havent done much wedding stuff because I was getting ready for my CRDTS board, which is basically the practical exam. I had to bring a patient up to the cities and clean there teeth.

I got so lucky and my patient was qualified the 1st round, which is awesome cause then I had the full 2 1/2 hours to clean his teeth. Which I may say was way not enough time. The calculus was way hard to get off, a lot harder then I thought it was going to be. But hopefully it was good enought to pass!! I should know in about 3 weeks. And the best part is that I am DONE with boards now, you know as long as I passed them!

Also David and I were talking about our honeymoon and what we want to do. Well we have decided to take a short little mini honeymoon right after the wedding and then take a long 10-14 day honeymoon in the winter. Then we can enjoy getting away from the cold and go somewhere warm! :)

Thats all for now folks!

Houston, we are up and running...

As you all can see I finalized my blog "facelift". I think I am going to really like it!

While since the last real post we have finished out invites and envelopes. I have to say it was a major bitch to get them complete. We started last friday (4/10) at 11 am. We went to go print off all of the sheets for the information like the accommodations, RSVP, directions, and Reception. Well it didnt go so well. We ended up messing with that until about 5pm that same day. Once we finalized the sizes and then we printed them out. My older sister helped cut them all up. They turned out great. Then we tried to print off the picture for the invite and it was AWFUL!!! We were using my mom's work laser printer and the picture had a huge dark line in the middle of it. So we tried to take the disk to my mom's Fiance (Ron)'s work to print them off, still was a bitch to do it. We ended up calling it a night around midnight.

We got up again on Sat (4/11) and we started to try to print off the pictures again around 9am. We decided we will have to print them off on the normal printer we have at home. It was kind of a bitch but we got them all printed out, and my older sister cut them all up. ( that was around 4pm) we also had to print off the vellum paper off of the normal printer. Plus we had to hand feed each one. Mind you we did 135 invites!

At that time we were out of card stock paper so David and I went to walmart to pick some up. We also picked up stuff to make our wedding cake (thats coming next) When we got home we we printed off the rest of the information we needed. The I started to work on the envelopes. Again it was a bitch it wouldnt print out right on the laser. arggg. So we ended up printing all of them out on the regular printer also. I finished doing the envelopes at 2am. (everyone else was sleeping) Thank goodness we finished it last weekend, cause I would dread working on them again.

Also we went and ordered our cake Wednesday (4/8) and we just wanted a normal little 10 inch cake. I was thinking it would probably cost us about 20-4o dollars. WRONG, it was going to cost us 66 bucks! I almost shit my pants when the HyVee baker told me that. We didnt put any down payments on it since I thought that was a lot. I talked to my old sister (she is very crafty) and she said she could totally make our cake. So we did a trail cake run on Sunday. It turned out soooooooo good and it was way cheaper then 66 bucks. She is going to practice making the cake a little more and are going to try make it a 2-tier cake. :) So excited about this!

I think that is it, I have pictures of this whole ordeal, but they are on my mom's computer. I will post pics later!

MAJOR catch up...

So I have been such a bad blogger. I really need to update everyone on our wedding progress. It is amazing how much time I have on my hands on that my Nation Board Exam is done! :)

First I just have to say it is so nice to feel not so over whelmed, so I can enjoy my wonderful fiance. I also am enjoying that I am not taking my zolof (for anxiety) and I have been off of it since my National Boards, and I feel very little anxiety. Which is GREAT!

Last weekend I went up to my mom's house to do a Wedding Planning Weekend. It was very successful! We were able to find all of the black dress shirts that we needed for the groomsmen on sale! So we bought them for $17.99! score!

Then we went to Anchor Paper to buy all the paper for our invites which may I tell you we found an awesome deal again, we got all of the paper (white cover card stock) and then Velium Paper and envelopes (pink) for $65.00, and that is to make 145 invites. I thought we did pretty good.

We also met with my cousin, who works at a flower shop and is helping me with our bouquets. And again that was a success! We actually ended going into the floral shop and I found a bouquet of Gerbers and I was like wow these are really pretty I picked them up and realized they were fake. So we decided it would be the best if we did fake Gerbs since it will probably be hot as hell on our big day. So Amber, my cousin, is looking more information about the fake flowers. We are also going to try to do fake mini gerbs for the boys, if we can find ones that look real. Also we are doing fake tulips and the other memory vase of flowers.

Now on to the bad news... I tried my dress on and needless to say it was a little tight. I have 2 inches to work with on the panel so it isnt to bad, but I am trying to loose a little weight and tone up my upper body. So I am in the progress of that.

Then yesterday we went and registered for our wedding, and let my tell you it was exhausting! It took us 9 hours to do 3 stores. Wow, we were sooo tierd!

We also found fushia pink rain boots for me for our wedding, you know in case it rains.. haha

We bought all of the belts needed for the groomsmen, and black socks.

I have ordered the black dress pants for the groomsmen and they should be arriving today sometime. They better be black this time! @@

and tonight I am heading up to my moms again, and we printing off invites and starting to put them together! yay! we are aiming to get them out by May 11th.
