I survived!!

I am allllll done with my National Boards, and it feels sooooooooooooooo good. I got way more nervous about it then I had to I think. It wasnt as hard as I thought it was going to be. I am hoping that it was good enough to pass!

I spent yesterday evening and this late afternoon doing a whole lot of NOTHING, and I have to say it feels good.

I had my interview with the chiropractor office this afternoon. I think it went well. The Dr. seemed fine with working around my school schedule, so that is good. They are basically adding a person because they are getting so busy. Which is great! He also seemed to understand how dental hygiene jobs work, that it is hard to find a full time job. The job is mainly front desk, and billing. The hourly range is just up my alley so that is good. He said he will let me know next week to see if I have a second interview. Actually he said "We will get a hold of you next week to set up a second interview" So I thought that was good.

Well all is well, I am hoping to get to church tonight. It has been a while since I have gone so I am excited.

Random thoughts

I went to fastcare up in Rochester Thursday, and the PN said my sinuses are still very swollen, and it has made a home in there. She also check my right ear, which I have an ear infection in. She gave me amoxicillin (i think, haha) and then said to start taking muceix to start breaking up the mucus in my sinuses. I am feeling a little better today, after 2 days after the new antiboitics, and muceix. I am starting to drain again, which is good! :)
--------------------------------------------------
Also, I got a call back from the chiropractor office I sent my resume to, I have an interview on Wednesday at 1:30. Wish me luck!

-------------------------------------------------
As most of you can tell, wedding planning has been put on hold for right now. I just dont have the time to stress about it. I need to get through my national boards and then it is back to planning, and let me tell you I have LOTS to do!!!

I guess I went and picked up some of the bridesmaid dresses (the ones that live up by mom). I think they are super cute. The only thing is that they screwed up on the usherettes dresses, they ordered them pink with black, and they are suppose to be black with pink. So she reordered them and they should be here at the end of May. talk about short timing to get alterations! Oh well, we will make it work.

Please note this dress is not in the right size for me, I just wanted to see it on, so I just fitted into my sisters dress.

3 days left

Thats right only 3 days until I have to take my national board exam. I am soooo nervous, and I have been studying my butt off. But I guess if I didnt procrastinate so much, I wouldnt be so nervous. Thanks dad, for such a great trait! haha. I am really trying to take a deep breath and take it one day at a time. It is an 8 hour written test. It consists of the last 2-3 years of information about Dental Hygiene and some general class information. The morning is component A, and that consists of 200 multiple choice questions, and then the afternoon is component B and that consists of 150 questions about case studies. So basically made up patients, it is all mutliple choice, so you would think it wouldnt be that hard. It cost $225 to take the test, so in the long run of my education it wouldnt be the worst if I failed, I will just have to pay that amount again and take the test again. It seems like a lot of money but when you look at how much I have paid for all of my exams it is pretty cheap.

I have to take a "law" exam on what I can do and not do in the state of Minnesota for Dental Hygiene, that was $80, and then I have to take a patient up to the cities to clean their teeth. They need to have so much calculus on so many teeth and so many surfaces and it has to be the right kind of calculus, this test cost me $860, and then I will have to pay an extra $200 to rent an operatory. And then most people pay the patient to take a day off of work and come up and sit for me. So that is a test I DONT want to fail, cause I would have to pay that amount all over again... arggg - this is making my stomach turn knots just talking about it.

I forgot...

to say.................HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

I am not Irish, not even a little drop, but I still am sporting the green shirt today. Thank godness for John Deere wear or I wouldnt have any green. Its really not my color, I have to olive-y skin.

Also, I forgot to mention that I sent my resume into a chiropractic office about 10 minutes away from our house. They are looking for a Part Time Chiropractic assistant. I was one for about 3 1/2 years, so I am hoping that helps me get the job! I will keep the blog updated if I hear from them!

Irritated

I am sooooooo irritated right now! We took my car in to the shop on Friday morning, and I yet have gotten it back! I am not sure if I am just antsy to get it back so we can take it to the car dealer or what. But does this seem extra long to anyone else? arggg

I am also irritated about having to study for much about this stupid National Board Exam. I have to take it a week from today!! Here I am on my spring break with is being SOOO nice out. The weather is like 65 today, and I am stuck inside studying. arggg

I am irritated that I went to the doctor like 2 weeks ago, cause I had a sinus infection. He gave me z-pack antibiotic, which i dont care for myself, and I dont think it worked. I still have tons of pressure around my sinus area. I need to get some real antibiotics that are going to work! arggg

I am irritated that the website in the above post didnt work! arggg Not sure what that is about, but here is a picture of the beauty!

I am an irritated women today, can you tell some female hormones are running high this week, along with the stress from that stupid exam?

Monday, March 16, 2009

Seriously?

3 post in one day, yup that is right people!!!

Look at this beauty!!!

David called on it today and they can give is like 2.9% so we are going to bring my car up there when we get it back from the shop. We want to see what they can give us for it, and then I can test drive it. We are probably going tomorrow! I am a little excited!

UPDATE: I still dont know what we are having for dinner the rest of the week! haha

What a wonderful Day

Well spring I think is finally making an appearance. It was about 55 degrees out today. The heat was turned off, and the windows were open. It smells so good in here with the fresh air!

We went out with some friends of ours to a toy tractor show in Cannon Falls. It was ok, kind of boring if you ask me but what do I know right? It was ok, since the other guys wife came and we get along really well. We then went out to eat at Applebees, and my lunch was good. We then went across the street to look at cars, cause I am keeping my eyes open for a new one for myself. Well they had EXACTLY what I wanted - a white 4 door G6, sunroof, spoiler, dark interiors, and nice wheels. It was an '08, and had 30,000 miles on it, they wants $14,999 for it. David is going to call tomorrow and talk to him about what kind of financing we can get on it since I dont have a job yet. The we headed over the to home and vacation show. It was ok, got to see the HUGE RV's. That was nice dreaming. haha

We even got out fridge cleaned out today, which is so exciting cause it needed it REALLY bad!

Also I have made the decision I am going to start making a meal plan of the week and keeping track how much it costs. I also want to try a new reciepe every week. So if you have any good ones, hand them over! I will post my weekly plan tomorrow.

Yesterday we had the most AMAZING dinner, I got the reciepe from Kelly's reciepe blog! I strongly suggest you to try it!!! Check it out!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

So I am proud to say that David and I have been dating for 3 years and we have been engaged for a year - today!!!! I can honestly say that it has been the best 3 years of my life! And please remember that within those 3 years is when my dad passed away. David has been there for me through thick and thin!! We have been through so much within the past 3 years I know we can get through anything. We have the strength to take it one day at a time and try to work out the kinks. I just love him with all my heart and I cant wait to see what our future has to hold for us!

Here are some pictures of us through the years!

Not so Graceful...

So I have came up with in my next life I hope not to be so clumsy. There always cuts on my hands, and bruises all over my body.

Yesterday, I was picking up the house and I bent down to straighten the shoes and I ended up hitting my head on the corner of the window seal, which I tell you that I had to move my head around the table, and then move it back to hit the window seal. SERIOUSLY!!?!!?

Then, I was washing dishes last night and I dropped the big bottle of dish soap in the water and bubbles and water went EVERYWHERE!!! So I was dripping wet.

Then today, I was boiling some water to make some pasta for dinner (crock pot prep) and I went into the other room to check my email, and after about 5 minutes I am smelling some smoke. I was cooking a pizza, but it didnt smell like burnt food in the oven. So I went into the kitchen to find the kitchen towel on fire, which was next to the stove, with the boiling water! So I quickly threw it in the sink and put water on it! DUMB BUTT ME!!!

Then, I went to take the burnt dish towel out of the sink, and I bumped a glass over on the counter and it spilled water (just a little I thought).

Then, I go to open the can of olives for dinner (also crock pot prep) and the can opener slipped and so I went to put it back on the can, and the juice went over and got myself all full of olive juice.

Then, I went to take a picture of my burnt towel and I ended up spilling the same glass as before of water, and then I proceeded to step in the water, so now I have a wet sock!!
Now mind you, this is 2:55pm Central time so far on this crappy Monday. And this is only a glimpse of one day, can you imagine the rest of the week!
please lord in my next life make my more graceful!

Monster Truck Ralley

So Saturday night we went into LaCrosse to hit up the monster truck ralley. It was super fun, and it was a bitter sweet time, cause I use to go with my dad all the time. It was actually a really good show, and we had AWESOME seats.

My car has been given us some problems, so I begged David to take his truck cause I didnt want to get stranded in LaCrosse, cause sometime my car doesnt start. He agreed and we ended up taking his truck. We went into LaCrosse a little earlier so we could get something to eat, and then we headed to the show. So we were probably out of the truck for like 4-5 hours. We we get back out to the truck to go home and David turns over the keys and the truck is deader then a door knob. He left his lights on! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!!!! thank goodness a guy that parked just in front of us, came out of the show just after we did. So he was nice enough to jump us. I just think that is funny cause we took his truck so we didnt have to jump my car!! haha! Oh well, it was a good memory that we will never for get about!

A day late and a minute short

Yesterday was the 2 year anniversary of my dads death. It was surprisingly an "ok" day. I was a little sad when I woke up, which was at 4am!!! what the heck? but anyways as the day went on the easier it got! I am happy to have that past us as now I can get excited about the upcoming anniversary of david and I - 3 years dating, and 1 year engaged!! Man time flys!

Here is the reading that was read at his funeral. Still touches me....
"If i die with much anger and bitterness, I will leave my family and friends behind in confusion, guilt, shame or weakness.
When I felt my death approaching, I suddenly realized how much i could influence the hearts of those whom I would leave behind.
If i could truly say that I was grateful for what I lived, eager to forgive and be forgiven, full of hope that those who loved me would continue their lives in joy and peace, and confident that Jesus who calls me would guide all who somehow belonged to my life- if I could do that- i would, in the hour of my death, reveal more true spiritual freedom than I had been able to reveal during all the years of my life.
I realize on the very deep level that dying is the most important act of living. It involves a choice of bind others with guilt or set them free with gratitude."
Dad, I love you more then anything, and I miss you more then anything! I cant wait until the day comes when I can see you again in Heaven!! RIP DAD May 3rd, 1959-March 7,2007

Confession

It has been such a crapy couple of weeks. The weather has been so icky and rainy, and snowy, and cloudy. And honestly that makes me quiet depressed. This is already a hard time of year for me. It seems like when ever Feb. comes around I am really sad and depressed until I can get threw my dad's passing anniversary. And that is coming up March 7th. It will have been 2 years since he left us here on earth. Even thought it is so hard for me to grasp the concept that he is gone, I know he is in a better place and I know he is in heaven watching over me, and I know for a fact that god will not give me anything i can't handle. So I pray that he helps me get through this rough time in the year.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am also WAY overwhelmed with school and preparing for my national board exam. I am almost pretty sure that these last couple of months have been the most stressful part of my life by far.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday (sunday) my mom and my older sister, Jess, went to a bridal show. It was really dumb, and honestly I was a little sad about it. This is more then likely be the last bridal show I will go to. It was super small and I didnt learn very much. But maybe that is because I have most of my planning done. I am not sure.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I put together a complete invite and I really like how it turned out, and I was going to take a picture and i never did. Maybe on a different day.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am so lucky I have such a great man! He sticks by my side no matter what, and how can that get any better. We have been through so much in our relationship that I know we can get through anything! :) he is soooo wonderful, and he is the one that gets me through each and ever day!!!
